What this is
SAT Score Calculator is a small collection of tools for understanding SAT scores: a score calculator that turns your correct answers into an estimated 400–1600 score, section-only calculators for Math and Reading and Writing, a superscore calculator, PSAT and ACT converters, and reference pages on good scores and percentiles. Everything is free, needs no account, and works on a phone.
Why we built it
Most SAT calculators live inside test-prep sites: slow pages, sign-up prompts, and a calculator that was often built for the old paper test and never updated for the adaptive Digital SAT. We wanted one that loads instantly, models the adaptive modules honestly, shows a range instead of false precision, and explains what the number means without trying to sell a course.
How the numbers are made
College Board does not publish a fixed raw-to-scaled table for the Digital SAT. Our curves are modelled on the official Bluebook practice tests and checked against real practice-test results; the routing thresholds reflect where those tests switch between the harder and easier Module 2. Percentiles come from College Board’s current “Understanding SAT Scores” tables, and ACT conversions from the official 2018 ACT/College Board concordance. The method is written up in how the SAT is scored. Every result is an estimate; only College Board issues official scores.
Privacy
The calculators run entirely in your browser. Your entries are saved locally so they are there when you return, and the Copy link button packs them into a URL you control. Nothing you type is sent to a server. We use cookieless, aggregate analytics to see which pages are useful; see the privacy policy.
